👉The inaugural session of a two-day national seminar was organized today on 28 February under the joint aegis of the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archeology and the Indian Council of Historical Research at Dr. Harisingh Gour University.

Keynote speaker Prof. Vibha Tripathi, Emeritus Professor of the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archeology of Banaras Hindu University, threw light in detail on the archaeological and historical aspects of Madhya Pradesh in her keynote address. 

She explained in detail about the importance of archaeological remains and archaeological sites found in Madhya Pradesh from the Chalcolithic period to the historical period. 

During this, she also mentioned about various archaeological sites like Adamgarh, Kaytha, Eran, Khajuraho, Chausath Yogini Temple etc. and the antiquities of archaeological importance found. He further advised the researchers to work with independent thinking on the untouched aspects of various archaeological importance.

Chief guest Prof. Alok Tripathi, Additional Director General, Archaeological Survey of India, (New Delhi) emphasized on moving away from the colonial mentality and independent interpretation of the archaeological sites and the material obtained.

He appealed that the remains found need to be studied to understand the humans of that time and their functioning, their social and economic system, and not according to the traditional mentality.

👉A special lecture by Chartered Accountant Prem Garg, who came from Chandigarh, was organized at the Department of Commerce, Dr. Harisingh Gour University Sagar. In the lecture, Shri Garg told the students about the importance of morality in life and advised them to contribute their best for success.

Answering the questions of the researchers on the risk in investment, he said that the lowest risk for long-term investment is in the currently prevalent Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme and land can be given priority for permanent investment.

While discussing a model regarding the elders of the society, he said that men and women should be given training in nursing so that the elders will get support in this stage of life and the youth will get employment.

👉“When people buy indigenous goods, their money stays in our country, due to which the country develops rapidly and the economic condition of the country also becomes stronger.” The District Collector expressed these views during his address at the Swadeshi Fair.

According to Mela Co-ordinator, audience Coming to Swadeshi Mela is enjoying cultural and entertaining programs. In the fair, musical instruments were presented by Krishna Vijaya Kalayatan Group, poetry recitation by Hargobind Vishwa, dance by Pooja Padele, singing by Nitin Jain and his friends.

People are also enjoying spicy dishes by coming to the fair. Swings have also been installed in the fair for the entertainment of children. In this fair, one can see the various cultural colors of the country. The fair has been decorated with unique options of food and handicrafts.
