Sagar Watch/ Indigenous goods will play an important role in making India a world leader. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new direction to the country by running the Vocal for Local Mission.
With this, these fairs will play a special role in making people adopt indigenous goods and use them more and more. This will also strengthen the country's economy. Promoting indigenous goods to the people through the fair is a commendable effort.
This idea was expressed by Madhya Pradesh's Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Dharmendra Singh Lodhi on Sunday on the occasion of the inauguration of the eight-days long Swadeshi Mela organized here under the aegis of Swarnim Bharat Varsh Foundation and Swadeshi Jagran Manch.
In this connection, local MLA Shailendra Jain said that "It is the duty of the people of a developing country like India to contribute to the progress and self-reliance of the country by buying goods made in India."
The Swadeshi Mela coordinator said that this Swadeshi Fair is an effort to make the indigenous products of India's small scale industries, cottage industries, home industries and small traders available at one place, which is being organized for the first time in the city.
Mayor Sangeeta Tiwari, fair coordinator & social worker Kapil Malaiya, fair patron Shailesh Kesharwani and many other dignitaries of the city were present in the inauguration program of the fair.
