Sagar Watch/ The ration is being distributed from 918 fair-price shops under the public distribution system operated in the Sagar district.
Innovating under the guidance of the Collector, a dress code has been set for fair-price shopkeepers in the district. The shopkeepers will wear aprons of the prescribed colour and will also put up name plates for their identity.
District Supply Controller Rajendra Waikar said that grey-coloured aprons and nameplates have been made for the vendors of all the 918 fair-price shops operating in the district. With this, the vendor distributing ration will be able to have a separate identity.
All the vendors have been told to open fair-price shops on the scheduled day and time and distribute the ration only by wearing aprons and putting on name plates during distribution.
The Chief Minister's helpline number 181 has also been written at all the shops at a visible place outside the fair price shop. In case of non-receipt of ration or closure of the shop, consumers can register their complaint on the said toll-free number.
