Sagar Watch/ The issue of guarantee of pension and terminal benefits of retired employees of erstwhile Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board and their dependents from power companies of the state will now be discussed with the chief minister of the state in the proposed meeting this month.
President of Pensioners Association, Sagar Eng. AK Pandey has told that in Madhya Pradesh last week, a cease work strike was announced by various outsourced, contractual, technical employee-officer organizations of electricity employees. Which was also supported by the State Electricity Pensioners Association.
According to the information received from the provincial convenor of Madhya Pradesh United Forum for Power Employees and Engineers, Eng.V.K.S.Parihar, the said strike has been postponed on the assurance given on January 5 that the official discussion with the State Chief Energy Secretary Sanjay Dubey.
In the discussion, he said that Within 15 days, a meeting will be arranged with the state Chief Minister regarding the demands of the state's electricity employees, officers and pensioners within a time limit of 15 days.
According to Engineer Mr Parihar, the demand for a fixed and permanent pension arrangement for electricity pensioners has been raised prominently in the talks held with the Energy Chief Secretary of the state.
