National Lok Adalat- More than Two thousands Cases  were disposed

Lok Adalats are the most accessible and cheapest means of disposal of cases. 2484 cases were disposed of by 43 division benches, in which award of Rs.10,44,91,338 was passed. Under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Arun Kumar Singh, the National Lok Adalat was successfully organized on February 11 at the District Headquarters and all the Tehsil Courts.

 On the occasion of the said National Lok Adalat, the Chief District Judge and the President inaugurated the newly created "Emblem of the National Legal Services Authority" for the purpose of promoting various public utility schemes run by NALSA in the ADR Center premises.

Special Facts

For the National Lok Adalat, a total of 43 division benches were constituted in the entire district, in which 891 cases pending in the court and 1593 cases of pre-litigation were resolved on the basis of Rajneema.

In which compensation amount of Rs.2,44,27,000/- was passed by solving 97 cases of motor accident, a settlement award of Rs.5,16,65,170/- was made in solving 225 cases of check bounce. 322 compoundable cases of criminal nature, 66 cases of electricity, 57 cases of family dispute and 31 cases of civil and other nature were resolved. 629 pre-litigation cases of various banks, 425 pre-litigation cases of Electricity Department, 440 pre-litigation cases of Municipal Corporation and 66 other pre-litigation cases were also resolved on this occasion in which amount of Rs.1,95,04,835/- Revenue received.
