Sagar Watch/ ‘Gour Utsav’ 2023 is being organized from 20th November to 26th November to commemorate the 154th birth anniversary of the great educationist and philanthropist Dr. Sir Harisingh Gour, the founder of Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar.
In this regard, in the press conference organized in the university, Vice Chancellor Prof. Neelima Gupta said that Dr. Gour's birth anniversary is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Sagar city. Dr. Harisingh Gour University will also enthusiastically celebrate the birth anniversary of its patriarch throughout the week.
She said that many academic-cultural activities will be organized throughout the week with the aim of making Gaur Utsav memorable.She said that this is not only an event of the university but an event of the entire Sagar city. Every citizen associated with the city and the university is welcomed and congratulated in the various events of Gaur Utsav.
In the main function organized on 26th November, the program will be presided over by Kanhaiya Lal ji Berwal (former IPM) and Chancellor, Dr. Harisingh Gaur University.

In this program, former Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Santosh Kumar, alumnus and former Director, Indian Atomic Division, Hyderabad P.S. Parihar will be honored with 'Gour Ratna' and former teacher Prof. Sanjay Srivastava and Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Bihar will be honored with 'Gour Mani'.

On 20th November, T-20 friendly cricket match will be held between Journalist XI vs University Officer/Employee XI.
On 21st November, T-20 friendly cricket match will be held between University Teachers XI vs University Teachers/Employees XI of affiliated colleges.
On the same day, Youth Festival cultural programs presented by the students of the affiliated colleges of the university will be organized in the Golden Jayanti Auditorium.
On 22nd November The final match of T-20 Friendship Cricket will be held between the winning teams
