Under the Panchayat by-election 2023, six polling stations have been prepared for the election of two sarpanches in two Village panchayats of Sagar district. Deputy District Election Officer said that two candidates are in the fray in Nawalpur Village Panchayat of Rahli development block in Sagar district.
He informed that under the Panchayat by-election, voting will be held on January 5 from 7 am to 3 pm. He told that under the District Panchayat, 1711 voters will exercise their franchise in village Nawalpur, while in the Village Panchayat Madkheda Jagir of District Panchayat Jaisinagar, 1033 voters will elect their Sarpanch.
Mrs. Tripathi told that the Commission has appointed Sector Magistrates for Panchayat by-elections. In which for Nawalpur election, Naib Tehsildar Anil Ahirwar has been made the Sector Magistrate for polling station number 104 and 105 and Tehsildar Gadhakota Rishi Gautam has been made the Sector Magistrate for polling station number 106 and 107.
Similarly, he told that Naib Tehsildar Vinod Singh Parihar has been made the Sector Magistrate for polling station number 148 and 149 for Village Panchayat Malkheda Jagir of District Panchayat Jaisinagar. Apart from this, the counting of election votes will be conducted on January 9 at all tehsil levels from 8:00 am.
