Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Governor, MP
Sagar Watch/Earlier citizens had to go to offices to avail the benefits of the schemes. But now through Sankalp Yatra the officers themselves are reaching out to the citizens and receiving applications.
Schemes are being run by the Central and State Governments for all sections of the society. Vikas Yatra has so far reached 345 gram panchayats in Sagar district and the benefits of the schemes are also being given to the beneficiaries as per their eligibility.
These views were expressed by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel during his address at the camp organized in village Bhapel of Sagar district on Thursday under the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Governor Shri Patel said that due to lack of information, citizens of remote areas are not able to get the benefits of the schemes. In this yatra, through publicity mediums, information about the welfare schemes run by the police government is reaching far-flung eligible and needy citizens.
Efforts are being made to bring happiness and prosperity in their lives through schemes. If the citizens understand these and join the main stream of development by availing the benefits as per their eligibility, everyone will move forward, only then there will be economic development. With this the country will also progress and the dream of developed India will come true.
Regarding women, he said that women of self-help groups are becoming self-reliant. Important work has been done by the government for women empowerment and it is also yielding positive results. By taking advantage of the scheme, women are not only becoming self-reliant but are also contributing to the progress of the family.
A large number of villagers, public community and officers and employees including MP, Narayawali MLA, Banda MLA, District Panchayat President, Mayor, Collector, Superintendent of Police, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, CEO District Panchayat were present in the program.
