District Bar Association Election Witness Upside Down Results

Sagar Watch/ The results of the District Advocates Association elections were declared on Saturday.The counting of the President and other posts was completed last night. The counting of the executive members took place today on Saturday. Union Returning Officer KP Dubey announced the results. Out of total 1429 voters, 1317 exercised their franchise.

The outgoing President of the District Advocates Association, Advocate Ankleshwar Dubey could not become the President for the fourth time. He lost to advocate Jitendra Singh by 51 votes. Jitendra Singh got 592 votes and Ankleshwar Anni Dubey got 541 votes. Other candidates Yogesh Srivastava got 152 votes and Krishnakant Rai got 11 votes.

Advocate Virendra Singh Rajput was declared elected to the post of Secretary by taking 523 votes. His nearest rivals Narendra Pandey got 332 votes, BK Yadav got 223, Shirish Yadav got 104, Naveen Parashar got 81 and Ram Gopal Upadhyay got 32 votes.

Mahendra Singh Kaurav won the post of Vice President of Advocates Association. He got a total of 680 votes. While his nearest candidate Ravindra Awasthi got 467 votes.

Manoj Sen got 509 votes for the post of Joint Secretary. Close Surendra Gautam got 324 votes.

Yogendra Swamy won the post of Library President with 355 votes. His nearest candidates Mahendra Sen and Amit Mishra got 268 and 268 votes.

Among the women representatives in the executive of the Advocates Association, Anita Rajput got 456 votes while her nearest rival Annie Goswami got 415 votes.

Among the male representatives, Anshit Balaiya got the maximum 524 votes. After this, Deepak Sharma won the election of executive member by taking 449 votes, Kulbhushan Trivedi 410 and Shyam Sundar Sen 341 votes.
