 In Bundelkhand region, in Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari - Health Department and Food Safety Department remain inactive in connection with the investigation of manufacturing, sale and transportation of adulterated food items in relation to food safety. In this regard, the Divisional Commissioner has expressed his displeasure towards the responsible officers of the department.

On Friday, Divisional Commissioner Virendra Rawat, through video conference, Commissioner Dr. Virendra Singh Rawat asked all the collectors, health department and food safety officers of the division to take strict action towards stopping adulteration in food items and if even after this If complaint is received, strict action will be taken against the concerned officials.

He asked all the collectors of the division to take continuous action against adulteration in food items in the campaign to get rid of adulteration. 

Especially take strict action against manufacturers, adulterators and traders of spurious milk and milk-based food items like mawa, paneer, curd, ghee etc. 

For this, a special monitoring team should be formed in which officials from Food Safety Department, Milk Union, Police, Weights and Measures and Food Supply Department should be present.

Shri Rawat also directed that there is a provision of giving fine, which should be recovered. More programs should be organized on Eat Right and Millet Consumption, along with this, mid-day meals distributed in schools should also be checked from time to time and arrangements should be made for checking in fairs as well.

 Divisional Commissioner Dr. Rawat directed that all collectors should review the work done by the Food Safety Department every three months and ensure necessary action.
