Why Tax Collectors Ordered to Identify Street Vendors ?

👉The Municipal Corporation Commissioner has asked the tax collectors to identify the street vendors who have been deprived of the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Atmanirbhar Yojana to provide them the benefits of the scheme.

He said that the street vendors remaining for registration in the ward should be identified within three days and their list should be submitted to the National Livelihood Mission branch of the Municipal Corporation so that action can be taken to provide them the benefits of this scheme. 

Tax collectors should ensure to send such street vendors to the single window started by the Municipal Corporation at Pandit Motilal Nehru School, Katra Bazaar to apply for loan. 

Apart from this, such street vendors of the ward who have availed the benefit of PM Swanidhi Yojana after registration, should also be motivated to avail the benefit of the next phase.

It is noteworthy that Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Self-reliant Scheme has been started by the Central Government to start one's own business or to further expand one's business. 

Under the scheme, street vendors doing small business on street vendors are given an interest-free loan amount of ten thousand rupees in the first phase, on repayment of which twenty thousand rupees will be given in the second phase and on repayment of the amount of twenty thousand rupees, fifty rupees will be given in the third phase. An amount of thousand is provided.
