👀 The 32nd convocation ceremony of Dr. Harisingh Gaur Central University will be held on Wednesday at 10.30 am in the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of the University. The chief guest of the function will be the convocation address of Prof. KK Aggarwal, President of South Asian University (established by SAARC countries).
The guest of honor is eminent educationist, Panjab University, Chandigarh and former Vice Chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow Padmashree Prof. RC Sobti. University Chancellor Kanhaiya Lal Berwal, IPS (Seni) will preside over the function.
The Vice Chancellor of the University will present the annual progress report along with the welcome statement. About 1200 students from 11 schools of CBCS system and 2 affiliated colleges have registered in the convocation.
Maternal Death Cases Review..
👀 A review meeting of district level maternal death cases was held today in the Collectorate meeting room under the chairmanship of Collector Deepak Arya. Out of the maternal death cases, one case each from Khurai, Bina Agasaud, Rehli, Rahatgarh and Shahpur development blocks was reviewed.
Maternal mortality rate in the state is 173 per lakh live births and infant mortality rate is 48 per thousand live births. Continuous efforts are being made by the department to reduce this.
Maternal Death Surveillance and Response (MDSR) is currently being reviewed by the Government of India. Under which reporting, monitoring of every maternal death, analysis of the cause of death and reaction to it is to be ensured.
Schools Get Renewal Till 15 March
👀 According to the new order, March 15 has been fixed for new recognition and renewal recognition application of private schools for the session 2024-25 under the Right to Education Act.
According to the Director of the State Education Center, if the society or trust fails to submit the application for new recognition or renewal of recognition within the stipulated time limit, an additional amount of Rs 5,000 will have to be deposited as late fee from 11 to 15 March.
