A one megawatt plant has been prepared through Prime Minister Narendra Modi's solar energy scheme for uninterrupted drinking water supply from the Rajghat Dam project, which is the lifeline of Sagar city. Due to which electricity worth more than Rs 3 crore will be produced every year. The Municipal Corporation will save more than Rs 20 lakh per month in electricity bill.

Solar Panel Energy Scheme and Surya Ghar Scheme have been prepared to promote solar energy and reduce pollution. Under this, 500-500 kilo watt solar panels have been installed in Sagar's lifeline Rajghat Dam Project. Due to which 4000 to 5000 units of electricity will be produced daily. This plant has been built on 4 acres of land available on Rajghat Dam established with the funds sanctioned through Smart City Sagar.

According to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, with the installation of this solar plant, the Municipal Corporation will save electricity bills of Rs 20 lakh per month. He said that along with this saving, the supply of drinking water from Rajghat will also continue.

This work has been done by a Gujarat company. The company will guarantee the solar plate for 25 years and the inverter for 10 years.

Renewable Energy Department said that two lightning conductors have been installed at the four-acre solar plant site, which will cover a distance of 108 meters each and will protect them from lightning.

Gujraat's company representative said that 3000 plates of size 1500-1500 have been installed in this plant. The length and width of one plate is 2 meter by 1 meter. He told that one plate will produce 335 watts of power.

He told that readings can be seen on mobile through Bluetooth. Two SIMs each have been installed in each inverter and transformer. This solar plant will be maintained by the company for 5 years. All arrangements for fire safety have also been ensured at the solar plant and devices related to file safety have also been installed.

Collector said that the Sagar project was named Sagar Smart City Solar Project (1) MW with the cost of the project being Rs 6.28 crore. In which the implementation agency was proposed through the Department of Renewable Energy.

Municipal Corporation Commissioner said that under the Smart City Solar Plant Part One project, a solar power plant of total 1 MW capacity is being established in two parts of 500-500 KW on about 4 acres of land near Rajghat Dam.

The benefits of this project will be such that it will promote the use of pollution-free renewable energy like solar energy.

Adequate electricity will be available for the heavy machines used for drinking water supply at Rajghat Dam and regular drinking water supply will be ensured.

Here electricity worth approximately Rs 3 crore can be generated every year and used to operate the machines at Rajghat Dam, which will help in reducing the burden of electricity bills on the Municipal Corporation.
