Sagar Watch News/ Under the joint auspices of Jawaharlal Nehru Central Library and the SEDG Cell of Dr. Harisingh Gaur University, Sagar, the Specialized Learning Resource Center for the Disabled was inaugurated in the newly constructed Ranganathan Bhawan in the Central Library of the University.
S.E.D.G. President of the cell Prof. Anil Kumar Jain said that this cell will work for the educational and social upliftment of all the deprived sections like Scheduled Castes, Tribes, Women, Third Gender, including the disabled and will contribute positively to building an inclusive society.
Regarding the facilities available in the university for the disabled, Naveen Singh said that the center has a computer lab, reading space, braille printer, braille book section, Kibo device, and accessible library in which about 10 lakh books are available for the disabled students, with high-speed internet. is available.
University Vice Chancellor Neelima Gupta, special guest Prof. Harishankar Singh, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, Lucknow, Prof. Neera Kapoor, IGNOU, New Delhi and Prof. Indu Goyal Allahabad University, Prayagraj, and students, teachers, and staff of the institute were present in the program.
