SAGAR WATCH/ Sea. The 31st convocation of Dr Harisingh Gour Central University, Sagar will be held on March 14, 2023. Gopal Bhargava, Honorable Cabinet Minister, Public Works Department, Cottage and Rural Industries, Government of Madhya Pradesh will be the chief guest at the convocation ceremony held at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of the University.
Dr Pankaj Mittal, General Secretary of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (AIU) will be the guest of honour, She Will be present as The Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof Neelima Gupta will present the annual progress report. The function will be presided over by the Chancellor of the University, Prof. Balwantrai Shantilal Jani.
In a 'press conference' organized in connection with the convocation, the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Neelima Gupta said that the convocation is an important academic event. In this ceremony, after studying in various courses of the university, they attend this ceremony to receive their degree.
Chief coordinator of the convocation ceremony, Prof. Naveen Kango said that a total of 866 students, including 439 undergraduate, 399 PG and 28 PhD students from 11 CBCS system schools, will be present and receive degrees in this convocation.
Apart from this, 187 students will be awarded 'in absentia' degrees. In this way, a total of 1053 students will be awarded degrees.
Pro. Naveen Kango said that students can collect their degree files and dress material (Bundeli turban and stole) on 11th and 13th March from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm and on 12th March from 02.00 pm to 05.00 pm at the Gour campus of the university. can do.
It will be mandatory for all the registered students to bring their admit card and photo identity card - Aadhaar card or PAN card to get the above material. Registered students will attend the convocation ceremony only in convocation dress.
A dress code, white kurta-pyjama for boys and white salwar-kurta for girl students have been prescribed, which will have to be arranged by the students themselves.
Giving information, the Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Gupta said that on March 14, the University is also going to organize a three-day national event 'The National Women's Student Parliament' in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (AIU).
He said that the University has got the privilege of organizing the 'First National Women's Student Parliament' in which girl students from many universities of the country will participate. This event will prove to be a milestone towards ensuring the political participation of women.
Dr Rakesh Soni, the coordinator of the Cultural Council, presented a detailed outline of the organization of the National Women's Student Parliament.
