Sagar Watch/ After the accident in Harda district, the series of swift actions being taken by the administration in every district across the state does not seem to be stopping. In Sagar district too, the district administration is running a campaign against illegal explosive materials and their storage. Under which action was taken against two people on Thursday.

Firecrackers kept for sale were found in the Manhari shop of accused Pawan Lakhera near Gadhakota bus stand. During investigation, explosive material and firecrackers kept in two white plastic sacks were found to be illegal. Explosive material worth about Rs 4500 with market value has been seized and action is being taken against accused Pawan considering this act as a crime punishable under the Explosive Substances Act.

Similarly, firecrackers packed in different colored packets with the intention of selling were found illegally stored in the room of Pankaj Vishwakarma, a resident of Bajrang Ward of Gadhakota, in the newly constructed house located on Pachara Pipariya Road.

Considering that unsafe storage of explosives is punishable under the Explosives Act, it was seized from the possession of accused Pankaj Vishwakarma on the spot and necessary action was taken against him.

Collector Deepak Arya said that this type of action will continue. He has also appealed to the people of the district that if there is any information about illegal storage and sale of firecrackers, then they should give it to the police administration.
