There are a total of 2 thousand 118 polling stations and 17 lakh 88 thousand 867 voters in Sagar district. Collector and District Election Officer Deepak Arya gave this information in a press conference called on Thursday in connection with the final publication of electoral rolls under the special brief revision program of electoral rolls with photographs.

Polling Stations

Regarding the status of polling stations, he said that the final publication of the voter list was done on Thursday as per the schedule of the Commission. 

Assembly wise Polling Stations Counts are  

  • Bina assembly-232  
  • Khurai Assembly-253  
  • Surkhi Assembly- 271  
  • Deori Adssembly- 255  
  • Rehli Assembly-300  
  • Naryawali Assembly-268  
  • Sagar Assembly-248  
  • Banda Assembly-291  

There are a total of 2 thousand 118 polling stations.

Voters Counts Increased

After the assembly elections held last November-December, there has been an increase of 4 thousand 587 voters in the district. Total 17 lakh 88 thousand 867 voters include 9 lakh 40 thousand 254 male voters, 8 lakh 48 thousand 580 female voters and 33 other voters.

If we look at the number of voters assembly wise, 

Banda Assembly -(2,49,626) 2 lakh 49 thousand 626 voters. (Maximum)

The number of new voters in the district in the age group of 18 to 19 years is 45 thousand 368 and 25 thousand 368 voters are above 80 years of age. Similarly, the number of disabled voters is 11 thousand 690.

Sagar Lok Sabha - According to the status of Lok Sabha constituency, 35- Bina, 36 - Khurai, 37 Surkhi, 40- Narayawali, 41- Sagar, 146- Kurwai (District Vidisha), 147 - Sironj (District Vidisha), 148 - Shamshabad (District Vidisha) ) along with Lok Sabha constituency 07- Damoh includes three assembly constituencies of Sagar district - 38-Deori, 39- Rahli and 42- Banda.

Final Publication Of The Electoral Roll

Collector and District Election Officer said that according to the program issued by the Election Commission, on the basis of eligibility of January 1, 2024, the final publication of the electoral roll was done today, February 8, under the special brief revision program of the photo electoral roll.
